Devon with Kids is an independent travel and tourism website with a team of Devon-loving families behind every guide, review and activity write-up.

Our mission is to be the number one Devon family guide, empowering families and championing local tourism businesses.

Claire Hall, the editor of the Devon with Kids website

Claire has 20 years experience in the media and public relations industries and is the award-winning blogger behind Tin Box Traveller – one of the UK’s top family travel blogs – as well as the founder of Devon with Kids.

She moved to Devon in 2015 I couldn’t believe her luck to be living in one of the country’s most stunning holiday destinations. Claire and her family have now travelled all over the county for family days out and stays in some of the top tourist spots. 

After sharing a lot of West Country adventures on Tin Box Traveller, she decided that Devon was so awesome that she wanted to dedicate a new digital space to it. And in 2020, Devon with Kids was born.

Claire is currently editing Devon with Kids from afar as she’s followed her military husband abroad for a few years. So, the team has grown!

Lauren Heath

Lauren Heath, Devon with Kids writer, as well as food blogger for Dining Devon and Communications Manager

Alongside the normal 9 to 5 job, Lauren has been blogging since 2016 and is the Editor of Dining Devon – a great resource for restaurant/cafe/pub reviews, foodie staycations, food and drink events and news.

Lauren moved to Devon in 2013 with her husband and son. Originally South African, Lauren has lived in the UK since late 90’s and wanted to give their son the free and wild childhood she had, and felt Devon had everything on offer.

She loves walking in all seasons, in forests or on beaches, sea dipping all year round, and can’t adventure without finding a great food and drink spot! 

Lauren is also communications manager for South West 660.

Stacey Sheppard

Award-winning interior design blogger Stacey Sheppard

Stacey Sheppard is a freelance writer and award-winning interior design blogger. She started her blog, The Design Sheppard, in 2009 and it is now ranked as one of the top interior design blogs in the UK.

She has written for various print and online publications including Livingetc.com, Warehouse Home, Devon Home, Taste Buds, and Designer Kitchen & Bathroom magazine amongst others.

She has appeared on panels for industry events, judged industry awards and featured on national TV as an interiors expert.

She is also the founder of The Tribe, a boutique coworking space in Totnes for female entrepreneurs.

Stacey opened the Tribe in January 2020 after realising that being self-employed and working from home could be a lonely and isolating experience and wanted to create a space that encourages community, collaboration and connection.
