Tips for attending firework displays in Devon
Always check the organisers’ websites for the latest information about what’s on as running times and the weather can change quicker than I can update this guide!
Here’s some more tips:
- Some displays require booking – check before you travel.
- If you are travelling by car check the parking arrangements before you leave home. Some smaller events do not have dedicated car parks.
- Be aware the gates may be closed before the fireworks start for safety reasons. So allow plenty of time to get yourselves in position for the best view.
- Do not bring sparklers. Many event organisers have banned them for safety reasons.
- Dogs are also not allowed at displays and would probably much prefer to be at home with the TV up loud.
- Wrap up warm. Most events will go ahead whatever the weather.
Please note that the free events listed here would very much appreciate donations to keep them running in the future and support local charities. Give generously to collections.
