Ooooh, ahhhhh! Look skywards for firework displays in Devon in 2026.

This post rounds up all the bonfire and firework events I’ve spotted happening in Devon. Not all take place on 5 November and some have activities like markets, entertainment and regattas happening alongside them.

This post includes firework displays happening over the summer, on bonfire night, in the run up to Christmas, at New Year and beyond.

Tips for attending firework displays in Devon

Always check the organisers’ websites for the latest information about what’s on as running times and the weather can change quicker than I can update this guide!

Here’s some more tips:

• Some displays require booking – check before you travel.
• If you are travelling by car check the parking arrangements before you leave home. Some smaller events do not have dedicated car parks.
• Be aware the gates may be closed before the fireworks start for safety reasons. So allow plenty of time to get yourselves in position for the best view.
• Do not bring sparklers. Many event organisers have banned them for safety reasons.
• Dogs are also not allowed at displays and would probably much prefer to be at home with the TV up loud.
• Wrap up warm. Most events will go ahead whatever the weather.

Please note that the free events listed here would very much appreciate donations to keep them running in the future and support local charities. Give generously to collections.

Barnstaple and District Roundtable Fireworks at at Barnstaple Rugby Club – 1 November 2026

The largest public firework display in North Devon is being put on by Barnstaple Roundtable again this year with proceeds supporting SNUG. This South West based charity offers advocacy and
wrap-around support to families who have been impacted upon by difficult pregnancy, birth
or neonatal stress.

You can book your early bird discounted tickets by visiting the Barnstaple Round Table Facebook or buy them at the event.

Gates open from 5.30pm and the event starts at 7pm.

Firework Spectacular at The BIG Sheep – 5 November 2026

The BIG Sheep’s bonfire night spectacular returns this year with fireworks, indoor fire shows and the biggest bonfire in North Devon.

Doors open at 4.30pm and there will be a small display for young children at 6pm. The main fireworks happen at 7.30pm.

All tickets must be bought in advance.

Firework display at Central Park in South Molton – 7 November 2026

This is South Molton Pannier Market’s biggest event of the yewar with 5,000 people expected to attend. The display viewing area is in the adjoining lorry park. Gates open at 5pm.

There will be food and other traders around the event site.

Bonfire Night fireworks in Exeter

Fireworks at Woodbury Park near Exeter – 30 October 2026

The Woodbury Golf Club fireworks display includes access to the Club House and Terrace. You can upgrade your tickets for a better view.

Doors open at 5pm and the display is at 7pm. Arrive early and car share where possible as parking is limited.

Exminster Scouts Fireworks Extravaganza – 6 November 2026

This year’s event at Deepway Green takes place from 5.30pm with the display staring at 7pm. Get tickets in advance from Exminster Port Office, The Royal Oak pub and Teign Bean.

Exeter Round Table Fireworks Display, Westpoint – 7 November 2026

Exeter’s Annual Charity Fireworks returns this year with an extraordinary addition: a spectacular drone show set to an iconic galactic soundtrack.

There will also be funfair rides, food and drink. Gates open at 5.30pm and attendees must arrive no later than 7pm or they will not be allowed to enter.

This display is organised by Exeter Round Table in support of Devon Air Ambulance. Tickets are limited and must be bought in advance.

Fireworks at Offwell Recreation Ground, Honiton – 28 October 2026

This year’s event takes place at Offwell Village Hall and will be accompanied by a bar, barbecue and bouncy castle. The event starts at 7pm.

Bridwell Community Bonfire & Fireworks Celebration – 1 November 2026

Book tickets for Bridwell’s bonfire night event and expect a full evening of entertainment including roaming performers, a fire show, live band and bonfire, culminating in a spectacular Pyro Musical Fireworks Show from Sonic Fireworks.

Exmouth RNLI Fireworks – 6 November 2026

RNLI Exmouth’s Firework Night will be held at Exmouth Rugby Football Club. This year’s display is accompanied by a ffair ground and plenty of choices for food and drink.

Gates open at 5.30pm with the fireworks due to start at 7pm.

Under three’s go free and enter for everyone else is £7.21 (including booking fees).

Fireworks at North Tawton Rugby Club – 30 October 2026

This family-friendly evening brings players, parents, friends, and neighbours together to enjoy the display.

Gates open at 7pm and the firework start at 8pm. There will also be a bonfire, food stalls, and Halloween disco.

Bonfire Night in Plymouth

Here’s where to find bonfire night displays happening in Plymouth this year:

Plymouth Fireworks on The Hoe – 5 November 2026

The fun begins at 4pm so arrive at The Hoe early for the best views. The bonfire will be lit near Smeaton’s Tower at 7pm and the firework display itself will begin at 7.30pm, launching from the historic Royal Citadel.

Brixham Rugby Football Rugby Club fireworks and Halloween night – 30 October 2026

There’s a full evening of family entertainment planned alongside this year’s firework display. Expect LED robots, creepy crawlies and critters, circus activities and inflatables.

Tickets sell fast and must be bought in advance.

Watcombe Fireworks Display in Torquay – 5 November 2026

Friends of Watcombe are holding their annual firework display to raise funds for the primary school. As well as fireworks there will be food, a DJ and glow sticks.

Gates open at 5.30pm with fireworks display at 7.15pm. Tickets must be bought in advance.

Moretonhampstead Fireworks in Newton Abbot – 6 November 2026

Enjoy a display by Skyburst in the King George V Playing Fields. Tickets can only be bought on the day. Gates open at 6.30pm and the firework displasy starts at 7.30pm

There’s free limited car parking on site and more available in the town centre a short walk away.

Fireworks at Dartington Trust – 7 November 2026

This year’s display is being led by the British Firework Championship Winners of 2023, Skyburst.

Doors open at 5pm. Parking is limited.

Fireworks Night at Newton Abbot Race Course – 7 November 2026

Head to the race course for a display with an intergalactic theme, and an evening of family fun. There will be live entertainment, food stalls and the bar will be open.

This year’s event is being staged with Newton Abbot Rugby Club and Teignbridge Events.

Doors open at 4pm and the display starts at 7.30pm (gates close at 7.15pm).

Winter fireworks in Devon

Firework displays aren’t limited to fireworks night. Here’s some that happen over the winter each year:

Lanterns, Lights and Luminations in Brixham – 20 to 21 November 2026

This popular event in South Devon includes a magical lantern parade, a firework display, live music, street entertainment, and a market.

Market stalls and entertainment start in the morning, the lantern parade takes place late afternoon, followed by the Christmas light switch on, arrival of Santa and fireworks.

This event is free to attend. Timings will be confirmed closer to the event.

Firework display at Bay of Lights in Torbay – 28 November 2026

The Bay of Lights is a huge winter event in South Devon and this year will being with a spectacular free fireworks display.

Kingsbridge Fair Week fireworks – July 2027

There’s a firework display planned as part of the Kingsbridge Fair Week (17 to 24 July 2027) but if you want to know exactly when they’re happening you’ll have to buy a programme.

The programme for Salcombe Regatta will be packed full of family fun including a firework display.

Beer Regatta fireworks – August 2027

Fireworks are planned as part of Beer Regatta week which takes place in August each year.

British Firework Championships, Plymouth – August 2027

The Championships are a spectacle not to be missed and take place overlooking Plymouth Harbour and Sound for extra sea view drama. This is the premier firework display in the country, attracting tens of thousands of people each year.

The fireworks usually start at around 9.30pm each evening. There’s entertainment, including a funfair, and food and drink stalls to enjoy on Plymouth Hoe before the spectacle begins.

The event is free to attend. Dates and timings will be published closer to the event.

Sidmouth Regatta fireworks – August 2027

This year’s Sidmouth Regatta will feature events in the community and at sea as well as a grand firework display on the Saturday night.

The regatta programme continues into the Sunday with more fun events to spectate and participate in.

Dartmouth Royal Regatta fireworks – 28 August 2027

Devon’s royal regatta hosts sports, sailing and family events, plus live music. There’s also a brilliant firework display. Check the website for more details as they are announced.

It’s free to attend Dartmouth Regatta (21 to 28 August 2027) but donations are very welcome.
