We love visiting National Trust properties during the winter months. The volunteers always pull out all the stops to beautifully decorate the houses and lay on fun activities. Here’s what you can expect this Christmas at Killerton near Exeter.

What’s on this year?

Visit Killerton this winter to see the house decorated for a traditional Christmas. Outdoors there’s a festive activity trail as well as games in the garden.

In the Chapel you’ll find Christmas trees decorated by the local community.

The ground floor house will be decorated and open from 1 December 2023 to 2 January 2024 excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

You can also book to attend relaxed viewing sessions designed for those who want a calmer experience, such as those with autism or SEN needs.

Is the light trail on at Killerton National this year?

No, the light trail is not returning to Killerton this Christmas.

The Stables Coffee Shop and Killerton Kitchen café will be open for light lunches and festive treats.

Parking

Killerton has a pay and display car park where charges will apply for non-members. If you’re a member don’t forget to scan your membership card for a free ticket.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are allowed in the grounds of Killerton but not in the house, formal garden or chapel grounds.
