Located in the heart of the city at Cathedral Green Exeter’s Christmas Market is the ultimate Christmas destination for shoppers and tourists.
This year there will be Bavarian-style chalets offering global cuisine, pop-up bars, local traders and craftspeople selling unique gifts and decorations – all accompanied by a programme of live entertainment.

Michaelmas Fair at Powderham Castle – 6 November 2025
What’s on
The yuletide spirit starts early at the home of the Earl of Devon, Powderham Castle. The fair is in aid of the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
There will be a wide array of things not found on the high street from jewellery and Christmas puddings to homewares and spirits.

What’s on
More than 100 international and local traders will be at Plymouth Christmas Market this year offering an authentic feast of quality Christmas fayre alongside a carefully curated mix of handcrafted goods and bespoke artisan products.
There will also be a traditional carousel and a vintage Helter Skelter.

Wintertide in Buckfastleigh – 29 November 2025
What’s on
More than 30 artists, designers, makers and creators from all around the South West will be attending this market at Devonia Sheepskins Yard.
As well as stalls there will be hands-on creative workshops including Naturemake where you can create your own nature inspired magical structures and model making with Jim Parkyn of Aardman Animations.
You can also buy food and drink from a range of traders, including freshly baked sweet treats and wood fired sourdough pizza.
The event is free to attend with parking on-site and disabled access.

Dawlish Christmas Street Market – 29 to 30 November 2025
What’s on
Dawlish Christmas street market takes place from 2pm on 29 November followed the town’s light switch on.
There will be a range of stalls as well fun activities on the lawn in the centre of Dawlish. See a live Nativity, Father Christmas and a lantern parade from 5pm. The town’s Christmas lights will be officially
switched on at 6pm, followed by live music.
The market continues from 10am to 4pm on 30 November.

Late Night Shopping and Christmas Markets in Totnes – 2, 9 & 16 December 2025
What’s on
There will be food, festive entertainment and artisan stalls throughout the town on three Christmas market and late night shopping dates in December.
As well as shopping there’s a special food court area between Heath’s Garden and the Market Square offering everything from churros to world food.
Be there on 17 December for a special lantern parade.

What’s on
Take a trip to Kingsbridge for a thoroughly festive day with market stalls selling scrumptious hot food and gifts ranging from metal garden ornaments to Salcombe Gin.

What’s on
Devonmade is bringing together 40 stalls of handmade crafts and gifts from local makers and small businesses.
Stalls include everything from crochet and crystals to coffee, cards and stationery – all locally made.

Christmas Fair at Flavel Theatre in Dartmouth – TBC
The Flavel’s auditorium will be full of stalls from crafters and artisans all over the South Hams while the top floor studio will have crafting activities.
Les the Fez performing balloon magic and more for the children, a perfect time to top up your Christmas shopping or buy wonderful gifts for yourself. The building will be buzzing with festive fun, there will be a bumper tombola and a raffle plus other fun activities.

What’s on
The BIG Sheep at Bideford is where you’ll find the South West’s biggest Christmas market.

What’s on
Visit the farm to see the barn decorated for Christmas with animals to meet and plenty of picture opportunities as well as a covered market with crafts, refreshments and festive food.
