Where to go pumpkin picking in Devon in 2025

Where to go pumpkin picking in Devon in 2025

Visiting pumpkin farms is one of our autumn highlights. The kids dress up in their Halloween finery and we head to our local pumpkin patch where there’s an astonishing collection of gourds in all shapes, sizes and colours – perfect for decorating our doorstep.

Read on for where to find pumpkin patches around Devon this year. Lots are free to visit but please spend some money while you are there. Buying a pumpkin or two to support local farms is a fair exchange for some lovely autumnal family photos.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Sadly some patches have not been able to open this year as the weather has not been with them. Others are opening earlier than usual. I’m keeping my eye out for updates but please check your local patch’s website or social media before you travel to avoid disappointment.

To help you find where to pick pumpkins near you, I’ve split this guide into South, North, East, Mid and West Devon.

Are there any organisations that help people with disabilities and without cars to get to these wonderful places? If you could point me to any volunteering charities, I would be most grateful.
